Treatment Programs

A full continuum of evidence-based care for lasting recovery.

ALORA Rehab offers comprehensive treatment programs designed to meet each individual where they are. From medical detox through outpatient care, our clinical team provides personalized, evidence-based treatment at every stage of recovery.

Medical Detox

Medical detox at ALORA Rehab is the critical first phase of treatment, lasting 3 to 7 days depending on the substance and severity of dependence. Our medical team, led by board-certified physicians and registered nurses, provides continuous monitoring and administers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to ease withdrawal symptoms and prevent complications.

Unlike hospital-based detox programs that discharge patients once stabilization is achieved, our detox is integrated into a broader continuum of care. As soon as a patient is medically stable, the clinical team begins transitioning them into residential programming so there is no gap in treatment. Patients never have to travel to a separate facility or wait for a bed; the next phase of care is right down the hall.

Residential Treatment

Residential treatment at ALORA runs 30 to 90 days and is the heart of our recovery programming. Patients live on-site in our 54-bed facility, surrounded by the quiet foothills of San Dimas, and follow a structured daily schedule that balances clinical therapy with creative expression and physical wellness.

Each patient works with a primary therapist to build an individualized treatment plan. Sessions include cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and acceptance and commitment therapy alongside our signature creative arts modalities: art therapy, guided music sessions, and reflective writing workshops. Peer accountability groups meet daily, reinforcing the honesty and mutual support that drive real change.

Because our facility is located right in the San Gabriel Valley, families can participate in scheduled weekend visitation without the burden of long drives, keeping the connection alive throughout the treatment process.

Outpatient Program

Our outpatient program is designed for patients stepping down from residential care or those whose clinical assessment indicates they can benefit from structured treatment while living at home. Sessions run several times per week over an 8-to-12-week period and include individual counseling, group therapy, and relapse-prevention planning.

Because ALORA Rehab is located in the heart of San Dimas, outpatient participants can drive to sessions in minutes rather than commuting across Los Angeles County. This accessibility makes it realistic to maintain employment, attend school, or manage family responsibilities while continuing evidence-based treatment. Our clinical team coordinates closely with each patient's support network to ensure continuity between sessions.

Dual Diagnosis

Roughly half of individuals struggling with substance use also live with a co-occurring mental health condition such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, or bipolar disorder. Treating addiction alone while leaving the underlying psychiatric condition unaddressed dramatically increases the risk of relapse.

ALORA Rehab's dual diagnosis program treats both conditions simultaneously under one clinical team. Our psychiatrists, licensed therapists, and medical staff share notes, attend joint case reviews, and adjust treatment plans in real time. Patients receive integrated care that addresses the full picture, from medication management to trauma-focused therapy, without being shuttled between separate providers. This coordinated approach is especially valuable for local families who want comprehensive care without navigating a fragmented system.
